As a Staff Software Engineer - 5G, you will:
- Design and Develop: Create real-time, high-performance software in C/C++ for 5G systems, focusing on system features that push the boundaries of wireless technology.
- Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems design, test engineers, and architects, to integrate and validate cutting-edge 3GPP wireless technologies.
- Enhance Processes: Lead and participate in key software processes such as design reviews, code reviews, and continuous integration, ensuring quality and consistency across the codebase.
- Drive Innovation: Contribute to the development of novel 5G NR L2/L3 stack features, ensuring their successful integration into real-world systems.
- Test & Validate: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the reliability and scalability of the software, from unit testing to end-to-end system validation.
What will you bring:
Education: A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
Experience:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development with C and/or Modern C++.
- 7+ years of experience in real-time software development for Linux-based systems.
- 5+ years of experience with 5G NR L2/L3 specifications and stack development.
Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in real-time Linux environments and C/C++ programming.
- Experience with 5G protocols, especially at the L2/L3 layers.
- Familiarity with Git, CMake, GNU Make, and software configuration management (SCM) tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills for real-time software applications.
